Description
For those who need a reconditioned 55 gallon plastic closed head drum for their application we offer them in two different colors. We do not recommend reconditioned drums for use in food storage. There is no way to identify what reconditioned drums previously contained.
A reconditioned 55 gallon plastic closed head drum is constructed of single wall high density polyethylene, and the head is configured with two 2″ bungs. They are UN rated for shipping, and have been pressure tested by the re-conditioner. Natural plastic is a clear whitish color that is somewhat transparent, this allows you to see the contents through the drum itself. Natural plastic degrades faster in sunlight than colored plastic but would still offer years of service. If you are storing something in direct sunlight we would recommend blue plastic.
