55 Gallon Plastic Closed Head Drum

For those who need a new 55 gallon plastic closed head drum for their application we offer them in two different colors. Other colors exist, and can be ordered however they may only be available by special order.  Special orders are subject to manufacturer’s minimum quantity requirements.

A new 55 gallon plastic closed head drum is constructed of single wall high density polyethylene, and the head is configured with two 2″ bungs. They are UN rated for shipping, and have been pressure tested by the manufacturer. They are manufactured using FDA approved resin. Natural plastic is a clear whitish color that is somewhat transparent, this allows you to see the contents through the drum itself. Natural plastic degrades faster in sunlight than colored plastic but would still offer years of service. If you are storing something in direct sunlight we would recommend a blue or colored plastic.
